Children’s hearing tests

If you’re concerned about your child’s hearing, we offer a full paediatric hearing test for children aged three and over. Our staff are fully-qualified and work as specialist paediatric audiologists for NHS Lothian, so they’re well-used to dealing with children, putting them at their ease and making the process as fun and playful as possible.

At your child’s appointment, they’ll take a full history and carry out a series of age-specific tests to check their hearing and speech perception. Afterwards, you’ll be given a detailed report, a full explanation of the results and a referral to an Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) specialist if necessary – as well as all the support you need to take any necessary next steps.
